OUR STORY

Here to Help

We are a friendly, family owned practice which has been operating on beautiful Bribie Island for 20 years. Our team pride themselves on creating a friendly, personalised and caring service for all patients to feel comfortable and relaxed during appointments.

Our physiotherapist, Rena Sodhi, has been a member of the Australian Physiotherapist Association for over 20 years. After graduating from the University of Queensland, St Lucia, in 1994, she successfully attained the graduate physiotherapist position at Townsville General Hospital.

This placement provided a strong foundation in orthopaedics, outpatients and neurological rehabilitation. During her time in Townsville she also successfully applied for a position at the North Queensland Cowboys as part of the game day rehabilitation team.

Rena has maintained her familiarity with the latest treatment techniques through her commitment to ongoing training and study.

She has completed:

  • Level 1 and 2 Musculoskeletal Spinal Physiotherapy

  • Level 1 and 2 Sport Physiotherapy

  • Vestibular and Gerontological rehabilitation

  • Western acupuncture and Dry needling

  • Level 1 Occupational Injury Rehabilitation

As a long term member of the Bribie Island Community, Rena has seen the island grow and change. Rena's husband was a staff member at Bribie Island State High School from 2001.  Her daughters attended local schools and were involved with many sporting clubs on the island. Rena enjoys being active herself, through bush walking and  playing touch football.  She has been a lifelong supporter of the North Queensland Cowboys however recently has added the Dolphins as her local team.

Throughout her career Rena has maintained her core values of taking the time to understand each patient's specific needs and teaching the patient how to best help themselves.

Everybody, no matter how old or frail can always improve their physical well being and Rena will help you achieve your goals!
